Getting the Gospel Right – or Wrong

Galatians 2:15-21

Christ – and Christ alone – can give you a right standing before God.

  1. Your faith in Christ is what justifies you in God’s sight – not your good works (verses 15-16).
  2. The more you try to justify yourself by your good works, the more you condemn yourself (verses 17-18).
  3. Trying to justify yourself by your good works cheapens Jesus’ death on the cross (verses 19-21).

Saved by Faith and Living by Faith – The source of your justification and sanctification is the same (verse 20).
